It’s a strange way to introduce a web site, having to make an apology about the pictures! I’m not saying that the enclosed photographs are sub standard. Nor do I think they don’t give a good representation of exactly what the sculptures look like. To see the size and scale of each piece, to enjoy the movement from every angle. “The photo’s just don’t do the work justice” is something I get used to hearing. As my work is very rarely on public display and most of my clients are private collectors I’ve come up hopefully with a solution to the above problem. An artist studio is normally off limits with all of its clutter and junk. You are only invited there very reluctantly. But over time I’ve realised most of my clients like to see what’s involved and where it all happens. So, after spending a fair amount of time working out where to place most of my work in the studio, you are now invited to see the current collection of editions… first hand. |
Heck, you might even get offered a cup of Tea. The studio is in London, but only just, so it’s a half hour train journey or drive from London Bridge. Please feel free to make contact via the information found elsewhere within this web site. (But please don’t all turn up at once!) |

Education? The usual stuff including Art School design nonsense in the mid seventies. This was followed by twenty-five years or so, working as an Art Director in some of the best (and some of the worst) London Ad Agencies. Ended that chapter of my career with a Creative Directorship or two and a fair number of awards. I turned my hand to sculpting proper ten years or so ago. Invented Speed Freaks as a brand (yes it was me!) back in 2002. Started that with limited editions. Then went into business with a mass production company in 2004. I still create all the originals for the Speed Freaks range, as I believe everyone (no matter how deep their pockets) should be able to buy my work. |
Exhibited my Sculptures at all sorts of places over the past few years. From Lord March’s front lawn at the Festival of Speed, at the Retromobile show in Paris and I guess the highlight so far was being invited to display one of my sculptures as part of the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in 2007. |
